This Master's Degree has the following equipment available to students: 07 Dell desktop computers containing all the necessary software for the full development of their activities; 2 HP laser printers with a printing capacity of 40 pp min; 1 scanner device; 3 multimedia projectors; and 1 remote control projection screen.

The Central Library of the Faculty of Medicine at FURG, the academic unit to which this program is linked, has 215 textbooks, 52 of which are Public Health and Public Health books, 24 books on General Epidemiology, 29 books on Biostatistics, 40 on Maternal and Child Health, 06 on Physical Activity, 13 on Qualitative Studies, 07 on Anthropology, 08 on Scientific Methodology, 04 on Demography, 09 on Planning and Management, 10 on Software, 06 on Social Sciences, and 07 on Service Evaluation. In addition to the CAPES Journals, the Faculty of Medicine subscribes to other publications in the area of Collective Health with periodicity ranging from monthly to semiannual.

  • Library and Digital Resources

    PPGSP Departmental Library: The program has its own collection of 135 textbooks, including works on public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, general medicine, and maternal and child health.

    School of Medicine Library: The institutional collection available to students complements the Program’s library with books in the areas of Public Health and Community Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Maternal and Child Health, Qualitative Methods, Anthropology, Scientific Methodology, Demography, Planning and Management, Social Sciences, and Service Evaluation.

    FURG Library System: Students have access to the FURG Library System, including the Central Library and departmental libraries, where they can consult and borrow materials.

    Digital Resources: Through FURG, faculty and students have access to the CAPES Journal Portal, the Institutional Repository, theses and dissertations, ABNT standards, e-books, and the Minha Biblioteca Digital platform.

  • Teaching and Events

    The PPGSP’s academic activities take place in classrooms in FURG’s new health sciences building, primarily on the 3rd and 4th floors.

    The building features rooms with varying capacities, ranging from approximately 20 to 100 people, allowing the space to be adapted to the size and format of each academic activity.

    The building also features an event hall on the 3rd floor, used for seminars, academic meetings, and larger-scale scientific activities, in addition to other spaces for individual and group study distributed throughout the building.

  • PPGSP Facilities

    Student Study and Work Room: A space with capacity for approximately 20 people, designed for individual or group study and work, equipped with work tables, two computers for occasional use, and a small reference library.

    Research Room: A space consisting of a main room and an anteroom designed for conducting interviews and other research activities that require privacy, including qualitative research.

    Meeting Room: A dedicated PPGSP space used for faculty council meetings, research project meetings, advising sessions, and other academic activities.

    Coordinators’ Office and Faculty Lounges: The program has a dedicated office for the coordinators and lounges for faculty members.

    Support and Collaborative Work Spaces: The PPGSP also has smaller spaces for meetings and collaborative work between faculty and students, as well as areas to support daily activities.

    IT Resources: The Program prioritizes workspaces where students can use their own computers for studying, data analysis, and academic writing. There are also two computers available for occasional student use.
