THE GRADUATE PROGRAM

 

The Graduate Program in Public Health at the Federal University of Rio Grande, Master’s Degree, aims to qualify human resources by training professionals in Public Health to the following purposes:

 

1) Identifying problems that affect the health and well-being of populations;

2) Carrying out original and innovative research projects that allow the advance of scientific knowledge;

3) Defining, establishing and managing public programs and policies that promote scientific development in the field of public health, and that contribute to a better quality of life for the populations.

Saúde bucal e qualidade de vida entre idosos da área rural do município do Rio Grande, RS.

Você sabia que problemas na boca como falta de dentes, cáries e doenças da gengiva podem comprometer a fala, mastigação, alimentação, e ainda causar ansiedade ou depressão? Pesquisa realizada pela dentista Mariane Pergher Soares mostrou que 1 em cada 5 idosos da área rural do município do Rio Grande tiveram sua qualidade de vida afetada por algum problema na boca. Os mais afetados foram os idosos com idade entre 60-69 anos e que relataram diagnóstico de depressão.
