THE GRADUATE PROGRAM

 

The Graduate Program in Public Health at the Federal University of Rio Grande, Master’s Degree, aims to qualify human resources by training professionals in Public Health to the following purposes:

 

1) Identifying problems that affect the health and well-being of populations;

2) Carrying out original and innovative research projects that allow the advance of scientific knowledge;

3) Defining, establishing and managing public programs and policies that promote scientific development in the field of public health, and that contribute to a better quality of life for the populations.

Aumentam o total de doses e o percentual de homens no Brasil que consomem álcool, diz estudo

Um estudo publicado nesta sexta-feira (24) na revista científica "The Lancet" aponta que o consumo de álcool está associado a 2,8 milhões de mortes a cada ano em todo o mundo e que não existem "níveis seguros" para o consumo da substância. A pesquisa avaliou dados de 195 países e, ao analisar a prevalência do consumo no Brasil, verificou aumento no total consumido tanto por homens quanto mulheres, e concluiu ainda que subiu o total de homens que bebem.
